M&D Drilling have been drilling boreholes for over 40 years. We have provided over 2000 independent private water supplies.
Our team operate several drill rigs based out of South Yorkshire covering Yorkshire and surrounding areas. They are highly skilled and experienced operators who have worked for decades in the industry.
All our boreholes are constructed to comply with the latest guidelines. We only construct boreholes that are dual lined to protect against ground instability. We also ensure protection against ground water contamination by inserting steel casing, down to bedrock, that is grouted in place. We also provide all the necessary documentation to the relevant authorities on your behalf.

BENEFITS OF A WATER BOREHOLE
· It will save you money long-term. In fact, in excess of 90% of your water bill can be saved, since a borehole abstraction below 20,000 litres per day is exempt from licensing and is essentially free.
· Any business currently spending £750 per quarter or above could potentially get a payback for their investment within three years.
· Sometimes areas suffer from variable water pressure and water quality which can result in an inadequate water supply to your premises. A borehole will prevent this.
· Even in a dry season a borehole will continue to supply at a constant flow and pressure.
· Borehole water is independent of water supplied by water authorities.
· Water restrictions such as a hosepipe ban do not apply.
· Boreholes are not affected by mains-system problems such as leaks.

· Because our geothermal boreholes are vertically 100 to 150m deep they are very efficient, providing consistent heat all winter long that is unaffected by outside temperatures.
· They allow your property to be heated without the need for gas services to be brought into the property.
· They are a green way of heating your home without the burning of wood, oil, gas and coal fossil fuels. When combined with solar and wind power generation even the electricity they use can be independent of fossil fuels.
